the ships we'll use to disseminate genetics through the universe won't be 
fossil fuel, unless we hyperefficiently harness the full "light energy" 
from each drop. Chlorophyll-based plants and pv-cells are a good bet for 
total energy conversion. simple plants and algaes would be better adapted 
to deep space conditions than soybeans, which would be hydroponic on 
satellites or outposts.
