NORTH AMERICA
10 DAY START-TO-FINISH NATURAL BUILDING TRAINING: Build an earthen guest
cottage from the foundation to roof, walls to finish plaster.

Join us in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains for this intensive hands-on
experience. Learn how to build your own natural, beautiful, affordable, and
long-lasting structures with materials that come directly from the land. There
will be hands-on practice, demonstrations, classes, slideshows, field trips,
discussions, and more. Our main project will be at a permaculture
demonstration
farm constructing a lovely little earthen guest cottage with adobe, slipstraw,
cob, earthen plaster & paint, archways, and a natural roof . Early registrants
(by June 30th) and past participants receive a 10% discount.

We are excited to present this opportunity for you to learn in the beautiful
Blue Ridge Mountains of the Katuah Bioregion in Western North Carolina .
Surrounded by a rich community and talented network, these eight weeks are
designed to give you an in-depth, well-rounded experience in natural building
and sustainable living, as well as the ability to continue working in the
field
upon completion. The Practicum includes: natural building; hands-on practice;
group & personal projects; weekly workshops; community life; permaculture
design; natural foods; direct access to a network of specialists; and
one-on-one internship opportunities. There is room for 10 participants. Early

access to a network of specialists; and one-on-one internship opportunities.
Total group size is 12, with space for 6 foreign participants. Early inquiries

UPCOMING NATURAL BUILDING AND PERMACULTURE TRAININGS: Building community
structures to address greater housing needs.

Brazil, location to be announced
Combining traditional Brazilian building with innovative earthen finishing
techniques, we will create structures that will serve as examples with the
intention of addressing widespread housing needs. We will especially focus on
appropriate design and finishes for an earthen structure in a tropical
climate.
The projects will be in collaboration with, and in support of the local
community. Several projects are currently being planned. More information will
be posted soon.
