Permaculture and Natural Building Aug 28 - Sept 10 2004
In the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon Designing and Creating Natural
Homes and their Garden Habitats. Instructors include: Tom Ward, Ianto
Evans, Linda Smiley, Conraad Rogmanns, and Jude Hobbs
Course Topics Will Include: Natural Building Theory and Practice including
siting, design, plasters, roof systems and foundations; Permaculture ethics
and principles; Permaculture design related to zones 1 and 2, water,
animals, gardens and more; Hands-on cob and straw bale building, gray
water, solar hot water, organic gardening, plant propagation, and much
more^Å Advanced Permaculture Certificates are available for student who
have completed a Design Course.
Held at white Oak Farm & Education Center, a non-profit organic farm
located in beautiful Williams, Oregon. The farm also offers swimming ponds,
forest hikes, and home grown organic food for participants to enjoy. Early
registration discounts are available, as are limited work trade
opportunities. Scholarships are also available for residents of the
Williams Creek Watershed.

* An optional third week, September 13-18, will be a natural building
