	1.  In case you know anyone in Columbia or other points in Central or 
South America whom you think might be interested in attending of these 
workshops.

	2.  To let you know of the potential for doing these kinds of workshops 
here in the Los Angeles area with our colleagues from the Ecovillage 
Network of the Americas.

	3.  To let you know of my concern for the safety of my colleagues who have 
organized these workshops at some risk to themselves, and to ask you all to 
hold good energy in your hearts for their success and for their personal 
safety during their stay in Colombia.

SEPT. 8 to 14:  INTRODUCTION TO PERMACULTURE.  How to create a permanent
(sustainable) culture on the Earth.  This will be the first such workshop
offered in Colombia.

OCT 3 to 9:  PERMACULTURE (ADVANCED COURSE)
This is the first Advanced Permaculture course to be given in Colombia.
For those with experience in the design and implementation of sustainable
systems.

The consensus process is designed to resolve conflicts, share decision-making
power, and create community.

FULL COURSE DESCRIPTIONS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

DURATION:  All workshops are  7 days long and are divided between didactic
and practical activities.  Four of the LIVING AND LEARNING WORKSHOPS take
place in Ecovillage settings.  The other two will take place in a town which
is taking steps to becoming an "Ecotown for Peace."

There is LIMITED SPACE in all workshops and early registration is recommended.

LANGUAGES: Workshops will be in Spanish wherever possible. There will be
translation into Spanish whenever necessary.

COSTS:  $350 US per workshop includes, full participation in all activities,
3 meals daily, lodging, snacks, all materials, and certificate.  Participants
who deposit complete registration by August 20 pay only $325 US.
