Join Bill McKibben
and leaders from the movement tonight at 6:00pm ET.
For two Presidential debates, moderators have failed to ask a single
question about climate change. It seems that this is just one more
instance where this movement will need to lead.
Tonight we're having the climate debate this country needs, at 6:00pm
ET. It'll be streaming live and feature some of the most important voices
from the front lines of the climate fight.
Sign up now to get a reminder about the Climate Check Forum with Bill
McKibben and climate movement leaders.
Here’s what you need to know to participate:
- Who will be there: Along with Bill McKibben, we're honored to
be joined by leaders from across the movement: Ricot Jean-Pierre of PAPDA
- the Haitian Platform to Advocate Alternative Development, Xiuhtezcatl
Martinez of Earth Guardians, and Yong Jung Cho of #AllOfUs2016. May
Boeve, executive director of 350 Action, will moderate. Read their bios
at the end of this email.
- How to tune in: We’ll be going live on Monday October 17th at
6:00pm ET. To tune in, you’ll need to go to
this link and click on the 'Watch Here' button.
- How to participate: Have a question you want answered by our
panelists? Tweet it using the hashtag #ClimateCheckForum.
Flooding from Hurricane Matthew continues to endanger communities from
North Carolina to Haiti. It was just announced that September 2016 was
the hottest September ever, in what's again going to be the hottest year
ever. If the media won’t bring up the climate crisis during the debates,
we will -- online, and in the streets.
This forum kicks off the final sprint to voting day, and the 350
Action team has plenty of
ways you can plug in. And then after the election, the work will
need to continue, stronger than ever.
Onward,
Miles
