Hi All,
A young Farmer and Permie has a lot of high quality gopher wire for sale.
He bought too much and wants to sell it! Here is more info:
My name is John Meza and this year I began a startup farm informally known
as tomorrow'sdawn, it is a 1.5 acre small scale organic farm on the Orchid
Ranch located on the gaviota coast. I am specializing in garlic although,
there is an emphasis on permaculture design and bioremediation.
This December while knee deep the drought I decided to purchased 50+ of
Diggers 5'x100' 20 gauge 3/4" spacing gopher wire mesh rolls from grow
organic at peaceful valley farm. They were special order so unfortunately I
could not return them and in light of all the recent rain gophers have
proven to not be an issue because of the ability to detour them with plants
that they actually like and the abundance of the volunteer vegetation we
are seeing all over the hill sides. As mentioned earlier this is my first
year of farming and the purchase set me back a substantial amount. So,
I've began to sell them off. Unfortunately it is not at a pace that is
adequate for the amount of capital Required to invest on the plot. I would
personally like to reach out to you all and see if there is anyone in
particular that would be interested in purchasing any of it for landscaping
or IPM. The material is double galvanized steel, the first layer applied
before weaving and the second is hot dipped galvanized after being weaved.
Life expectancy is 10+ years under ground. The landscaping companies sell
the same brand for a steep markup price and won't buy them from me because
of their commercial license; Which allows them to order them for
considerably less. I'll match and lower any landscaping company just so
that I can see it go to good use and so that my farm has some xtra funds
for more plants, more IPM, and extra labor funds for woofers on the
property. Please, even if you are not interested, spread the word. It is of
utmost importance to the success of my startup that the wire goes to a good
use. As we all know farming comes with a steep learning curve and my first
year of working land was riddled with obstacles and extra expenses that
have pushed my budget stream down to a trickle. Help this young ecologist
keep the dream alive so that I may go out into the world one day and make a
change of my own.
Thank you
John Anthony Meza
