Poco Farm - Ojai - Address w Ticket Purchase
Slow Food Ventura County invites you to join us for an event celebrating the fall bounty of greater Ojai. The fermentations of Michelle Lopez (Wild at Heart Ojai) are at the center of this meal. ($50.00 plus $3.74 fees)
Arrive and enter the farm off of Stockbridge Lane under the beautiful canopy of trees and enjoy appetizers by Chef Robin Goldstein (A Taste of Ojai), locally made spirits from Ventura Spirits combined with Wild at Heart probiotic elixers, wine from new vintner Topa Mountain Winery and fresh tap brew from Topa Topa Brewery.
There's time to walk the two acres of working farmland that highlight the efforts of Poco's greenhorn, Nitana Buzec-Calfee. A portion of the evenings meal will be harvested from Poco Farm - including a dessert prepared by Megan Hooker featuring regionally grown heritage grains.
At 7 pm follow the music of Vaughn Montgomery and friends towards the main house where Chef Marucs Hollingsworth will be handling the grilling duties. Smaller sliders of locally raised Watkin's grass-fed, grilled or roasted meats will be served on Eva Hoffman's fresh made sourdough.
Next is the extensive offering of Wild at Heart's wild fermented vegetables, condiments and dressings - sourced from Mano Farm, all made specifically for this event over the past two months.
A generous bounty of harvest fresh vegetables and dressings will be prepared by Erin Regan and sourced from Rio Gozo Farm.
Dessert and fresh coffee from Coffee Connection will round out the evening.
Pottery displays and serving bowls created by Ojai artist Scott Chatenever.
