WE HAVE A COUPLE OF SPOTS LEFT--SIGN UP TODAY--IT'S TOMORROW! 
This is an opportunity to learn and work on a different kind of greywater installation called Branched Drain. We will be working with larger pipes of 2" and 1 1/2" that are more rigid than those in the laundry to landscape system. The pipes need to be adjusted to drop 1/4" per foot to keep the greywater flowing. It will be challenging and exciting to put this all together!

2. Graywater and Multifunctional Landscapes Lecture with Art Ludwig, Tues Oct 14, 6-7:30PM, Faulkner Gallery, Santa Barbara downtown library, 40 E. Anapamu
Led by “graywater guru” Art Ludwig, this lecture will show you how graywater can conserve thousands of gallons of water a month, save valuable plants during drought, and offer a host of other benefits. All are welcome!

3. Hands-on Greywater Workshop for Professionals, Fri, Oct 17, 8:30AM - 2:30 PM. 
Sponsored by Sweetwater Collaborative and the City of Santa Barbara Water Conservation Program
Learn about the benefits of graywater systems in this interactive workshop where we will be installing a laundry to landscape graywater system from start to finish! Wear work clothes, bring gloves and shovels. Space is limited, priority will be given to installers. Workshop is limited to 12 participants so register soon! Attendance at Tuesday lecture is mandatory to participate in the workshop.

When: Friday, October 17th 8:30am – 2:30pm
Where: Residence in the Samarkand neighborhood of Santa Barbara. Exact address will be given with registration.
Who: Geared toward professionals who will be installing graywater systems (others will be placed on a waitlist)
Instructors: Art Ludwig of Oasis Design and Anthony Castelo & Fred Hunter of Sweetwater Collaborative

Youth Drought Project will be one of the groups demonstrating sheet mulching techniques.
Drive or ride on over to the last unspoiled beach town on the coast and participate in hands-on workshops facilitated by local experts in sustainable landscaping. Sponsored by the City of Carpinteria Parks & Recreation/IPM Community Advisory Committee.
