Saturday, Oct 24 is CLIMATE ACTION DAY!
Join thousands around the world to call for strong
CLIMATE
ACTION
Two fabulous events will happen in Santa Barbara on Oct 24 as part of a
global climate change action (
_www.350.org_ (http://www.350.org/) ). People will be marching and holding
events all over the world to wake up our communities, politicians and
world leaders to the critical issue of climate change. Come and be part of the
fun as we wake up Santa Barbara to what’s happening!
1. CLIMATE ACTION MARCH
WHERE: Vera Cruz Park on Cota (opposite the Farmers Market)
WHEN: Saturday, October 24th, 11 am
THEME: WAKE UP to Climate Change!
WHAT: We will gather to take a GROUP PICTURE to send to UN leaders meeting
in Copenhagen. Then we’ll MARCH from Vera Cruz Park to the Placita on
State Street before De la Guerra Street and hand out educational fliers on
climate change. Please feel free to bring posters, flags, do guerrilla theater,
wear costumes, masks etc. to get the “wake up” message out to our
community.
