**Dear South Coast Permaculture Community,

This summer Ventura WILD will be offering week-long nature connection day
camps for kids in the Ventura River Watershed (Ojai, Oak View and Ventura).

Baba Dioum, a Senegalese ecologist, said: *“In the end, we will conserve
only what we love...” *And the focus of Ventura WILD is to fuel that "love."
Ecological literacy is a critical piece, but intellectual understanding
falls flat without a personal and experiential connection with the natural
world.

Ventura Wild is bringing children into local wilderness settings as a way to
rekindle a deep sense of belonging and awareness of life and living on
planet earth. Experienced naturalists and facilitators provide space and
time for each child’s unique gifts and interests to blossom through shared
exploration, inquiry based learning, skill development and stories.

When:
    June 15 - 19
    June 29 - July 3
    July 13 - 17

Times: 9:00am to 3:00pm

Days: Monday - Friday (5 days)

Ages: 6-12 years old

Where: Local places including the beach, river, parks, swimming holes,
canyons, community gardens, and more!

Drop off and pick up locations in both Ventura and Ojai
