[Scpg] Devin needs your help: Funding for his "Creating an Edible Oasis" DVD

Hey there!

As you may already know, I've been running a weekend workshop called
Creating an Edible Oasis in which we cover key concepts in Permaculture
including how to design and install a complete food forest and actually do
it as part of the course. It has been a total success and I just love
getting the opportunity to share these things and actually generate a food
forest through the course!

Next weekend, May 15-17 in Ventura, CA, I'll be running this course with a
special twist. We'll be using this course to produce the "Creating an Edible
Oasis" DVD through Walk Your Talk Productions. They are amazing and have
given me a ridiculous deal to produce it in entirety. Most of the costs can
be paid through the sale of the DVD, but paying up front for the
videographer and some of the editing is a must.

So, I'm writing this email as a way of raising money to produce this video
course and I have come up with some totally irresistible solutions for
making it possible. (You know how I like to do it!).

I need to raise $500 by this Friday, May 13 to make it happen at all, and
$1500 in the next month for the editing - but really, paying for it
completely, ASAP is the best way for me to do this.

The easiest way to make the donation will be to send it to me through my

For the design options, you can choose to donate now and schedule a date to
do the design somewhere through June 2010. Ultimately, each project is site
specific and your needs (as well as the land's needs) will factor into what
we will focus on.

Differences between Design Plans:
1.    Consultation – Vision and Goals, walking the land, talking about
what’s possible – Key highlights and priorities (can be recorded – audio or
video)
2.    Concept Plan – Documentation of Consultation and sketching patterns of
design at your place
3.    Schematic Design – Above + Planting concepts and patterns + Earthworks
concepts + Locating greywater, etc.
4.    Detailed Design – Above + Detailed planting list, detailed design of
systems such as greywater, water harvesting, food forest guilds, etc.
5.    Master Plan – Above + An in-depth survey and design of your land –
layers of essential information and details condensed into a booklet.
Includes 5, 10 and 20 year planning
6.    Mentoring - Customized coaching on specific permaculture projects or
what you need to accelerate you along your personal, regenerative design
journey.

To be clear, this is a donation system. You are not loaning me money. You
are getting beyond the value of the donation through the service you'll
receive.
