The Indigenous Permaculture Certificate program will take place from
Apr. 12-May 3, 2009.
The certificate training is 80 hours of class and field work in
traditional farming, community food security, and appropriate
technology, and includes practices in the field. Course materials
will be provided and lunches are potluck. We are open to all, and
particularly encourage youth aged 15-18, Latinos, low-income, and the
Native American communities to participate.
Apr. 12-19 will be held in the SF Bay Area, primarily Oakland, San
Francisco, and Berkeley. May 1-3 will be held in the Trinity
River/Hoopa Valley watershed. More details are below.

To receive certification, participants must attend all class meetings
and participate in a final group project. Participants must be
prepared to do between three to six hours of work outside of
class each week. We can help participants find low-cost lodging, if
needed.
The final project is a two year commitment utilizing the teachings of
Indigenous Permaculture within the community. A group presentation is
also required at the end of the course to discuss the final project.
Please contact us by March 25th if you are interested in participating.
