Food Matters: IHC theme for 2008-2009
For the 2008-2009 academic year, the
Interdisciplinary Humanities Center at UC Santa
Barbara is presenting a series of talks and
events on the theme Food Matters. Topics will
include food production and consumption, food as
a commodity, the global food crisis,
environmental aspects of food production, slow
food, gardens, sustainability, farmers markets,
diet and the cultural history of food.
