Transport: Coach from Brisbane or Sydney to Hebel general store, or plane 
to Lightning Ridge and coach to Hebel general store.

Mogila is an Aboriginal owened 70'000 acre working sheep stud station. The 
homestead is located on the banks of the Culgoa River where cruises and 
aboriginal cultural and heritage tours to sacred sights are available on 
request.

Students can stay on for permaculture project work experience after the

PERMACULTURE DESIGN CERTIFICATE COURSE on an Aboriginal outback Queensland 
location, Mogila Merino Stud. COURSE DATE 15th to 28th of January 2006
  This world-recognized, 72-hour course provides an introduction to 
permaculture as set forth by movement founder Bill Mollison. Students are 
invited to bring details of their own sites or potential sites and explore 
site-specific permaculture solutions in a hands-on workshop. The course 
serves as the foundation for further study and is a prerequisite for a 
Diploma in Permaculture Design, awarded by the Permaculture Research 
Institute Course credit is accepted by a growing number of universities 
here and abroad. To date, hundreds of permaculture designers worldwide have 
been certified through the course, creating a global network of ecological 
activists influencing major corporations and creating new soft-energy 
business alternatives.

The course covers sustainable living systems for a wide variety of 
landscapes and climates. It includes the application of permaculture 
principles to food production, home design, construction, energy 
conservation and generation, and explores alternative economic structures 
and legal strategies supporting permaculture solutions.

Geoff and Nadia Lawton are world-renowned permaculture practitioners. They 
originate from England and Jordan and studied permaculture with the 
originator, Bill Mollison. They founded the Permaculture Research Institute 
on Tagari Farm in New South Wales, Australia, a 148-acre farm previously 
developed by Mollison. Since 1985, Geoff has designed and implemented 
permaculture projects in 18 countries for private individuals and groups, 
communities, governments, aid organizations, and multinational 
corporations. He has taught the Permaculture

Design Certificate course in 20 countries. Nadia was the first person to 
achieve a permaculture diploma in Jordan and is a registered permaculture 
teacher with Bill Mollison,s permaculture institute. She has worked with 
Geoff in 8 different countries teaching and consulting on permaculture 
projects.
