FRUIT TREE PLANTING AT SANTA BARBARA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL -- "Common Vision" of the California Sustainability Project selected Monte Vista Elementary School, Hope School District, Santa Barbara, located at 730 Hope Avenue, as one of its sites in CA for planting fruit trees. The educational program offers an entretaining assembly (including some drumming) and guides students and community through the tree planting process--about 20 fruit trees of different varieties. 2. site preparateion (currently all grass)
      3. materials donations:  need loads of compost for planting trees; some specific varieties of trees are still needed;
          irrigation equipment (and assistance installing) will be follow-up needs--we have water to the site, as currently the area is grass with
          two rainbird sprinklers on either side of area to be planted.
