Hi All Organic Gardeners,

Just a reminder that our meeting will be held at 7pm Wed Sept 20 at the 
Gildea Center, 930 Miramonte Drive in Santa Barbara.  Our topic this month is 
"Edible Landscaping: The Nitty Gritty" to follow up on our wonderful "Edible 
Landscaping" inspirational event Sept 13 at the San Ysidro Ranch where we 
were treated to a tour of the organic kitchen gardens by gardener Thomas Cole 
and a demonstration by Stonehouse Restaurant chef Jamie West -- who were 
fabulous.  We munched happily on the hors d'oeuvres Jamie prepared, and were 
treated to organic Sanford wine!

We'll be talking about this and about how we can get our own gardens at home 
to produce the wonderful array of organic edibles that will inspire our 
"inner chef" or our spouse's "inner chef" to greater heights.  We're looking 
forward to picking up a lot of ideas and tips from panelists landscape 
designer/gardener Marshall Chrostowski, who specializes in organic gardens 
and orchards,  and Sean Hutchinson, an edible landscaping expert.

Next month's meeting will be Oct 18, 7pm, Gildea Center -- on "What's Bugging 
You? How Beneficial insects and other Non-Toxic Solutions Can Help You 
Control Unwanted Pests."  Invited speakers include some exciting folks we met 
at last weekend's Organic Festival in Oak Park.
