least-toxic control

Yes, I concur with Akiva. Mulching with material culled from the school's trees when pruning occurs,

1) Will prevent weeds,
2) Will "close the loop" on greenwaste to landfills, thus saving the district money,
3) Will improve overall soil quality for better drainage and increased productivity.

The City of Long Beach is already starting to do this in our parks and we have convinced the city
that it works extremely effectively on vacant lots to prevent runoff and weeds.

Good luck and happy summer,
