Hi Everyone
Come and Support this Revitalized Valley Institution that is up and
functioning with a new group of people with a good sense of how to use this
building and energy to help their community.
What is the Grange?
They are a family orientated, rural community service organization that
has a special interest in issues that affect agriculture. Simplicity,
Logic, Prudence and Concensus are important elements of their
decision-making process as is sense of unanimity and comradeship. The
Grange is a national organization that was founded in 1867 as an
organization to advance the social, economic and political interests of
farmers in the US. Santa Ynes Valley Grange was formed in 1937. The Grange
Building in Los Olivos provides a place for all community organizations to
come together and meet.
Who can Attend?
Anyone farmer, gardener, community activists, non farmers, anyone with an
interest in supporting a strong commitment to farming issues and the non
partisan political action needed to promote this. Come and be active part
in the food growing in our community and fellowship with the people that
our engage in food growing and more .
Local Santa Ynez Grange will have a strong commitment too conservation of
the land and the water resources of the Valley. Their will be a continuing
effort to offer workshops and education that promotes this. Their first
tentative course is Holistic Management such a good start.
