Two Papercrete Workshops:  
Thurs.  9/18/14,  8:30 AM until about noon,
repeating Sunday 9/21/14, 4:00 to about 7:30 PM

Taught by Jane Higginson, Archelonia Permaculture,  archelonia.wordpress.com

Lakeside, San Diego Co., $20 each,
$15 each for students with current academic ID 
One work trade position available for each session –must call Jane to apply by Tues. 9/16/14 no later than 7 PM

Each of these hands-on workshops will teach you how to turn used paper into a sustainable, strong, well-insulated and low cost building material. We will cover recipes, mixing, pouring, forming a slab, embedding an object (i.e., glass brick), and adaptations for other materials and methods. There will be time for questions and answers.

The weather will be very warm, so please bring sun protection and your own refillable water bottle. It is recommended that you bring a long-sleeved shirt that you can moisten and wear to cool off. It is also recommended that you bring a snack. Wear work clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Participants will sign a liability waiver.
