June 23, 7:00 PM until dawn, There will be a ceremonial occupation/wake to mourn the dead ancestors of local Native American tribes that are being dug up by bulldozers in the process of construction of the industrial scale Ocotillo Wind Energy Project on public wildlands near the town of Ocotillo in Imperial County. See flier (attachment) and link to article below. Please let us not allow renewable energy projects to follow this destructive pattern. Let us be promoters of small scale renewable energy on already developed sites.
