Dear Friends of SDECC & the SD Permaculture Center,
Just wanted to let you know about some October events in San Diego where
you'll find people who know what "Permaculture" is! While we're not
organizing these events, we are supporting them and hope you will, too.
See the calendar below for more information.
Marcia Boruta
Co-Chair, Board of Directors
Sat. October 14, 1pm - "Edible San Diego Bike Tour & Celebratory Potluck".
The coalition San Diego Food Not Lawns is organizing this free half-day
event that begins at 1pm at the World Beat Center (2100 Park Blvd). The
day features demonstrations by special guests from the famous South Central
Farm in Los Angeles and visits to local elementary school gardens and back
yard community gardens. The event ends at the World Beat Center at 6pm for
a celebratory potluck. Full details and flyers can be found at
www.sdfoodnotlawns.com. RSVP to (619) 641-7510 x234 or x244. The group is
also planning an all day conference on Sat. March 3, 2007 on the theme
"Seeding Justice: Cultivating a food secure future in San Diego. "
Fri. October 20, 8pm - Ocean Beach Teen Center Fundraiser. Permaculture
student and Nonviolent Communication teacher Amelia Roache has a new
