Advanced Permaculture:
Practical Skills for Bioregional Sustainability

'P.L.A.N.E.T. Organic' (Permaculture, Low-impact Agriculture & Natural
Ecology Training) is a vocational programme in organic production systems,
sustainable landuse design and wholistic resource management, with
application to bioregional organisation and community development. It is
for highly motivated people who want to grow healthy food, create
a balanced ecosystem and foster a flourishing culture.
Course Structure
P.L.A.N.E.T. Organic has a modular design, made up of three 10 - 12 week
courses. Each course builds on the previous one; together they form a full
and rounded programme. Courses may be taken individually or sequentially.

Module 1: DESIGN FOR BIOREGIONAL SELF-RELIANCE
Fri 21 March - 6 June (11 Weeks)
Module 2: DESIGN FOR ORGANIC LIFESTYLE PROPERTIES
Mon 23 June - Fri 12 Sept (12 Weeks total: 2 sub-modules)
(a) Urban Scale Property Design (b) Rural Property Design
23 June - 19 July (5 weeks) 22 July - 13 Sept (7 weeks)
Module 3:
DESIGN FOR SUSTAINABLE HUMAN SETTLEMENT
(Intentional Community/Ecovillage /Eco-neighbourhood/Papakaianga scale)
3 October - 15 Dec (11 weeks)
The course also includes:
* Self, group & professional development skills
* Practical organic growing & plant propagation, with focus on
participants
food gardens.
Some vocational directions this year's graduates have taken are:
Permaculture and Organics within: *Environmental Education
*Community Food
Production Systems * Community Development, eg.neighbourhood/community
gardens, school programmes, NGO programmes in developing¹
countries, bioregional scale roject design & implementation
