Sad news sent to us from Tree Bressen:

Hey folks,

I am sorry to pass on the news that Toby Hemenway died this morning of 
pancreatic cancer.  He was a permaculture luminary, excellent writer, 
generous teacher, and a charming guy.  We exchanged friendly emails a 
few months ago and i had no idea he was sick until yesterday when i 
received word of a fundraiser on his behalf.  He had just started 
hospice a few days ago.  Info is posted online at
