Hello Riparians, Homesteaders, Food Fermenters, Cottage Food Bill Supporters, 
and Urban Agggies-

Happy Independence day! The second installment of our 5 week summer series of 
"Focus on Food," airs today, Thursday at 3pm on KPFK 90.7, and it.  I couldn't 
be more proud of this episode, as it is another showcase for some of our most 
inspiring, local, good food champions.  Up this week, we sit down with infamous 
artisanal bread baker Mark Stambler and Assemblymen Mike Gatto on the California 
Homemade Food Act, homesteader Erik Knutzen, host a forum on traditional 
fermentation (kraut, kombucha, kefir, traditional soda), and talk food and 
community with Rishi, Ro and Pearl Kumar from the Growing Home.  

A little peak of what's to come...next week, I'll sit down with both Vandana 
Shiva and Will Allen of Growing Power!
