These types of projects are ripe with opportunities for PC planning, and 
PDC/ecovillage course design projects.  With the advent of permaculture 
being prominently featured at the White House last week from the UofMass 
permaculture, plus the City of Seattle Food Forest project, and the 
potential California senate hearings on permaculture, it makes a lot of 
sense to be thinking about the post-oil era of suburbs and malls. 
Obviously, from my perspective, the idea of retrofitting these 
monstrosities to ecovillages is very appropriate and exciting.
