Subject: *** ANNOUNCEMENT *** EARTHCLUB ACQUIRES NEW ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS
To: Scott Powell - CEO EarthClub <scott at earthclubstore.com>

EarthClub is very proud to announce that world renowned
biologists/ecologists Brock Dolman and Kendall Dunnigan of the Occidental
Arts & Ecology Center have agreed to join the EarthClub advisory board. Both
Brock and Kendall are visionaries in regards to ecology, sustainability and
Permaculture principles and will be a major asset to our board.

Brock Dolman

Brock Dolman is a Sowing Circle Community member and the Director of OAEC’s
WATER Institute (www.oaecwater.org) and Permaculture Design Program, and he
co-directs the Wildlands Biodiversity Program. He co-instructs Basins of
Relations and permaculture-related courses. Brock also co-manages the
Center’s biodiversity collection, orchards and 70 acres of wildlands. Living
up to his specialized generalist nature, and rekindling the dwindling art of
the peripatetic natural historian, his experience ranges from the study of
wildlife biology, native California botany and watershed ecology, to the
practice of habitat restoration, education about regenerative human
settlement design, ethno-ecology, and ecological literacy activism towards
societal transformation. Brock has spoken at events all over the world as
well as the Bioneers.

Kendall Dunnigan

Kendall is an ecologist, community organizer and teacher. She has over
fifteen years of hands-on experience teaching and facilitating the
cultivation of ecological literacy and community environmental change. For
the past decade, Kendall has been the Director of and faculty member in the
B.A. program in Culture, Ecology and Sustainable Communities at New College
of California’s North Bay Campus in Santa Rosa, California. Her instruction
focuses on environmental sustainability, sustainable agricultural education,
developing school and community gardens, community food security, popular
education, and skill building for democratic engagement.

Kendall is also a co-founder and principle in Permacopia, an ecological
design consulting firm, and is on the faculty at the Occidental Arts and
Ecology Center, where she teaches 2-week Permaculture Design courses.
Formerly, Kendall was the Executive Director of the Berkeley Community
Gardening Collaborative, and an instructor for University of California
Extension Service Master Gardeners Program. She co-authored a book for the
American Community Garden Association called Growing Communities: How to
Build Communities Through Community Gardening. She has worked as a youth
outdoor environmental educator for many years, including at Walker Creek
Ranch, Ocean Song Farm and Wilderness Center, and in Guatemala.

We wish them great success with the EarthClub family!
