During the week of Sept. 11 thru Sept. 16,
Mark Lakeman brings "City Repair" to Los Angeles.

Centered on the Los Angeles Eco-Village, there will be
many opportunities to learn, participate, and spread the idea that
urban environment can be humane, allow habitat, and be sustainable.

"Visionary architect Mark Lakeman inspires and guides the
grid structure of a typical American city into a vital
social commons with Portland's City Repair Project."

One clever idea: "food not lawns", for the urban garden.

      transforming a public street into a public plaza.
      Bring food to share.  Dress for a work party, old clothes and a hat.

      the intersection at Bimini and White House Place to
      honor the interconnection of our human community and the natural
world.

      rollers, gloves, a hat and water,
      and any other food or drink to share.
