Hey Friends,
We just had a few cancellations for this coming weekends Roadshow tour to southern California. Could you please help me find a few folks in the LA area who would be interested in participating with the Roadshow at UC Riverside this coming Saturday, May 2nd and then Sunday May 3rd in San Diego with Ozomatli. The gig would require the person work as an eco-carny, or teach a short workshop in anything to do with sustainable living. Check out the post below and forward it along with a personal note if you could to your friends who would be interested. We are short staffed and really could use an extra hand this weekend. Please do what you can to get the shout out if you can not come along for the ride yourself. We leave from the Bay Area Thursday around 2pm, set up at Riverside all day Friday and then run the show Saturday, strike and haul ass to San Diego for Sunday's festival. We will return to the Bay Area on Monday night.
Thanks for the help.
With Respect,
Jonathan
Subject: Eco-Educators Needed outside LA this weekend - please pass on
Hey Roadshow Friends,
Its been a while, and SLR is getting back into the groove! We are in the middle of a short spring tour now and have a little request. We were wondering if you might be able to help pass this message onto eco-conscious educators in Los Angeles Area. -
Sustainable Living Roadshow is heading down to UC Riverside on Saturday to support their Spring Fest. We are bringing down our 30' dome and our Conscious Carnival. In the last three days, for one reason or another, several of our workshop leaders dropped out and are not attending this leg of the tour. We are desperately looking for 1-4 people to join us on Saturday at UC Riverside to teach a 30min - 1hr workshop on a topic surrounding sustainable living. Topics in the past have been: Basics of Permaculture, Mushroom Remediation, Recycled Instruments, Holistic Health, Conscious Consumerism, Organic Gardening, Basic of Biofuels, Overview of Solar. These workshops are geared to college students and will be given in a dome outside in a festival like "green-fest" type setting. We can cover meals and fuel costs for anyone who is able to help us out. If you or anyone you know would be interested and available to help us out for a short time on Saturday,
we would be so thankful. If you could forward this on to anyone you know who might be able to help and have them email Zachary.carson at gmail.com and/or text 510-978-9636, I would love it.
Sunday we will be at the Healing Arts Festival in San Diego with Ozomatli and the Grey Boy Allstars! Come join us for the ride and check out a sample of the roadshow life.
And, if you just wanted to come for the day and volunteer as an eco-carni and hang out, we would love that also...
Hope your well and thank you in advanced for your help.
