[Lapg] google permaculture trends

I wonder what's considered permacultural activities.  I would presume that the activities are much higher but are not reported or captured.  If I incorporate permacultural principle in my work and my daily lives, would it count?

note the massive rise around the spring of 2008 . . .

and the cities and states with the mot activity . . .
