MAY EAST OF FINDHORN ECOVILLAGE GIVES A TALK ON TRANSITION TOWNS
AND UPDATES ON FINDHORN AND GAIA EDUCATION

Transition Towns, a movement started in Ireland in 2005 to deal with the
challenges of peak oil and global climate change, are beginning to
happen worldwide <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transition_Towns>.
Findhorn <www.findhorn.org>  is among the oldest of contemporary
intentional communities and ecovillages, is the founding site for the
Global Ecovillage Network <www.ecovillage.org>.   Gaia Education is an
international program of courses on sustainable community design and
development which has the endorsement of the United Nations Institute
for Training and Research- UNITAR and is an official contribution to the
UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development- UNDESD.

GREYWATER GUERRILLAS FROM OAKLAND

Be inspired!  Be wise! Learn how you can disengage from the Water Grid
using  Rainwater, Greywater, and Composting Toilets.  Greywater
Guerrillas will connect the water in our lives to local and global water
struggles, help us look at rainwater as a resource, explore options for
reusing greywater, and contemplate waterless (composting) toilets. From
the apartment, to the house, to the city, ecological sanitation (ecosan)
offers a path to a sustainable and just water future.  The Guerrillas
draw SRO crowds in Oakland and waiting lines for their workshops.  Come
and learn and welcome them to Los Angeles.
