About Tyrone LaFay:
Tyrone is the director/founder of Earthcare Design Solutions – a 
community based organization offering services in permaculture, 
sustainable settlement & ecological design education & consultation.  He 
has been working for the past 5 years as an Associate Faculty member 
with the Village Design Institute and coordinated the establishment of 
O.U.R. Ecovillage’s Permaculture Design Programs in 2005.  Tyrone holds 
a BSc in Environmental Science: Sustainable Ecological Design, plus 
Permaculture and Ecovillage Design qualifications from USA, Australia 
and New Zealand.  Over the past eight years, he has been studying, 
practicing & teaching applied human ecology, permaculture design, 
organic gardening & eco-village design in the Pacific Northwest, and 
overseas.  He is currently living at the Regenerative Cooperative of 
Pomona while working towards a Masters of Landscape Architecture in the 
College of Environmental Design at Cal Poly Pomona.
