[Lapg] Cattle waste, using this productively

Can people share their knowledge/ideas of how to use waste from cattle productively?  I know it can be used to produce methane and of course used for organic farming.  I know there are ways to collect the waste somewhat efficiently - but this is for someone who has range cattle, they are not kept in boxes.  So any hints would be most appreciated.  Someone I know would like to use both the urine and manure if he can figure out how to collect it.
