[Lapg] Food forest workshop this Saturday - location, details

The food forest seminar by Adonijah Miyamura this Saturday will be held in Sunland, at a private residence food forest.   Address is 7919 Glenties Lane.   Sunland is off the 210 Freeway north of Glendale.   

Adonijah will cover basic details of getting a food forest set up and productive very quickly, and will all address individual questions you may have about your garden or any other question you have.  So please, bring questions and issues you would like addressed!   There will be hands on work in the garden.    He will tell you how to prepare soils for maximum health and growth of plants and much else, and you will take home a hand raised plant and other goodies.   

Adonijah is most well known for growing a mature food forest on Crenshaw High School campus in four years, with resources and out of pocket funding coming entirely from himself and the community.  This is now part of a magnet program, getting youth educated on permaculture and other sustainable growing techniques.   He has studied permaculture under Bill Mollison, biointensive gardening, and indigenous gardening methods from Africa and the Americas.  

The cost is $50 and there is a sliding scale, so please dont' hestitate to contact us if the price is out of your range.
