>
> Is your life working moderately well, but still you long for more
> intimacy, relevance, sustainability, passion and pure dedication to
> a cause? If your answer is yes, then maybe Lost Valley Educational
> Center is calling out to your heart and soul!
>
> If so, we want to alert you to our next Community Experience Week
> as a way to experience a compact, but in-depth introduction into

>
> This week will begin Tuesday, February 21st—starting with a 2 pm
> tour and going through brunch on Sunday, February 26th. We will
> explore the basics of community life: vision and values, consensus
> decision-making, sustainability, right livelihood, children and
> relationships, the balance between personal and community life,
> spirituality and other topics of your choosing. We will apply what
> we learn to the creation of our mini-community, within the larger
> crucible of Lost Valley's daily cycles. We will also consider Lost
> Valley's mission, structure and operating agreements. And we will
> learn some practical applications by participating in various
> activities and programs such as Vegetarian Cooking, Garden and
> Permaculture, Naka-Ima, Childcare and Service and Sacred Space.
>
> Fees: $250-$500 (Singles), $350-$700 (Couples), $75-150 (Children)
> sliding scale. Includes organic vegetarian meals, dorm lodging
> and partial childcare. Advanced registration is required: $100
> deposit for adults and $50 for children.
> (Note: The sliding scale is intended to make this course available
> to people with limited incomes. If you can afford it, please pay
> the higher scale. Payment plans or partial barter may also be
> possible if arranged in advance for those on a very limited
> budget).
>
> Following the CEW, you are eligible to apply for a 3-month
> Exploring Membership Period which is the second tier in the
> membership track and is designed to provide time for Lost Valley
> and you to see if we have a good fit.
