A friend of mine, Daryl Bilandzija, is a teacher at
National Council of 
La
Raza’s CALS Early College High School.... a charter
school in downtown 
la
since 2003. Most of his students are from highland
park and surrounding
areas. He wants to start some permaculture/cityrepair
projects with his
students. Specifically, he wants to research the
design strategies and
techniques of the indigenous cultures that lived where
the school is
located and integrate them into the designs the
students come up with. 
The
purpose is to create a deeper sense of connection to
place. Anyone
interested in helping them break up the grid in the
heart of downtown 
la,

food sources for the
kids so if anyone knows how to bring in the farmers to
