Hello SLO Permaculture Community,
With humanity and our planet at a crossroads and facing unprecedented ecological and social challenges, now more than ever leaders and people from all sectors – from grassroots activists, to business leaders, to government officials – are joining together to collaborate and build more thriving, resilient, and regenerative communities. Let’s do the same here!
Here is a collection of permaculture action and events to celebrate this summer & fall. Come be part of the Solution Revolution!

June 21 – Film on CA water politics: Biodiversity First! is bringing a National Geographic documentary to the Palm Theatre, 817 Palm Street, SLO 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 21 entitled “Water & Power: A California Heist.” The film tells the story of how a handful of water barons gained control of the state’s most precious resource, while drought left local homeowners with dry wells. A Q&A with Adam Keats, attorney with the Center for Food Safety, will be held following the film. The film is directed by Academy Award winner Alex Gibney and Emmy Award winner Marina Zenovich. This is a free event sponsored by Biodiversity First!, SLO’s newest activist environmental nonprofit organization, who speaks for those with no voice. Watch the trailer here.
