Summer Camp is held at Our Global Family Farm, a permaculture demonstration
site located at City Farm SLO. It features food crops and indigenous food
cropping systems from the four corners of the globe. FARMGIRLS Summer Camp
will include farming, cooking, eating, making crafts, singing and nature
hikes. The FARMGILRS summer camp is a place where young women can learn
about how to grow food in an ecological approach that follows the ethics of
permaculture: care for the earth, care for one another, and share the
abundance. Together we can create a food system that is Regenerative,
Healthy, Local, and Resilient.
FARMGIRLS Summer Camp is now open to women too. We want to see generations
of women and girls be empowered to learn about agriculture and to grow their
own food! Start signing up now!!!

Save the Date - June 2nd is Hunger Awareness Day
Hunger Awareness Day is the Food Bank's largest one day campaign aimed at
raising awareness about hunger in our community and raising funds in support
of the Food Bank's county wide programs. All donations stay in our local
community and are used to provide nutritious food to low-income individuals
and families who face hunger. Food insecurity is a very real concern for 1
in 6 SLO County residents who often do not know where their next meal will
come from.

Last night, April 30th there was a Carbon Farming live webinar with Eric
Toensmeier at Santa Barbara City College. Attached is the list of additional
resources referenced that you can look up and study.
Here we go together into the summer!
