Hello incredible SLO Permaculture Guild
We wanted to remind you of the excellent opportunity coming-up this Thursday, July 11th with the BBQ and Book Signing.  It'll be a blast!  The BBQ starts @ 5pm in Santa Rosa Park.  $4 Donation for meat raised by our wonderful Phyllis Davies!  Bring potluck-style sides (salads, fruit, snacks, etc) to share.  We'll be having Chris join us for dinner, so we can enjoy his company before the talk. Following dinner @ 7pm we'll be having Chris give a talk until 8:30pm at Ludwick Community Center just down the road for a $3 Donation (to help cover rent of the space).  He'll be talking about his experience as a permaculturist and about his new, BEAUTIFUL book, A Vegetable Gardener's Guide to Permaculture.  It will be a lovely night!

Christopher Shein has started dozens of community, school, and market gardens.  He teaches permaculture at Merritt Community College where he helped develop an award-winning student farm.  Christopher attended UC Santa Cruz where he was introduced to the Alan Chadwick Agroecology Farm and Garden. Christopher was one of the key members who launched BASIL (Bay Area Seed Interchange Library).  Shein owns Wildheart Gardens, a permaculture landscape business that designs and builds sustainable gardens.  Merritt Community College is one of the first community colleges in the nation to offer a certificate in Permaculture..
