FREE FRUIT TREE PRUNING DEMONSTRATION
Open to the public and FREE!!!

Meeting starts at 1:30 p.m.
Pruning Talk starts at 2:00 p.m.
Pruning Demonstration Starts at 2:35 p.m.
Sponsored by the California Rare Fruit Growers
(CRFG) and Cal Poly. Meet at the Crops Unit at
Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, located at the
corner of Highland and Mt. Bishop Road, just west
of the railroad underpass. Meeting and pruning
talk will be in the Crops Unit Classroom. Follow
signs. Free Parking!!
Pruning demonstration at 2:35 p.m. will be in the
CRFG Demonstration Orchard on Highland just west
of Stenner Creek. About one block west of the
Crops Unit Classroom where the meeting is. We
walk to the pruning demonstration. Limited
parking there.
Pruning talk and demonstration by Mr. Dan
Lassanske, Professor in the Cal Poly Ornamental
Horticulture Department. There will be a brief
business meeting of the Rare Fruit Growers at
1:30 p.m. with the short pruning lesson starting
at about 2:00 p.m. This will be followed by a
pruning demonstration and PRACTICE in the CRFG
Demonstration Orchard at 2:35 p.m. Rain or
shine!! Free!!
Yes, this is a "Learn by Doing" opportunity for you!!
Bring your own pruning clippers, or loppers and camera!!
