*CARBON ECONOMY EDUCATION SERIES COMES TO SANTA BARBARA TO BENEFIT FARMERS,
RANCHERS, *
*BUSINESSES AND CITIZENS.*
*SANTA BARBARA, CA* - The confluence of climate change, billions of dollars
being poured into the new ‘green’ economy and degradation of precious
agricultural soils is challenging people across the philosophical spectrum
to re-examine their approach to managing land, farming and ranching.
*October 19th thru December 11th 2009* brings an all-star line up of
instructors, scientists, farmers and land managers to share their experience
and knowledge with fellow farmers, rancher, businesses and citizens from
around the region. Inspired by results driven science and applications, the
following Carbon Economy Courses are an outstanding chance to strengthen
current land management practices with leading edge technology and practices
from around the world.

Ranch, in partnership with local, national and international organizations
including Australia Felix Permaculture, Holistic Management, Soil Food Web,
ZERI, Living Craft Project, SeaChar, Polyface Farms, LoaTree, Christie
Communications, and El Capitan Canyon Resort. The main venue will be Orella
Ranch (orellaranch.com) north of Santa Barbara, CA on the Gaviota Coast.*
