Pouring an Earthen Floor Workshop!

 

Instructors: Justin Kirmse and Lyn Giesecke

 

Location: Quail Springs Learning Oasis and Permaculture Farm

Dates of workshop:  Friday, October 3 - Sunday, October 5, 2008 

Arrive before dinner on Friday to set up camp

Dinner begins at 6:00 pm  

Class begins after dinner on Friday

Class closes Sunday, departures after lunch

 

Class Covers:

        .Locating, testing, and harvesting materials for your floor

.Earthen floor foundation work: drainage, sub floor (either poured or
tamped), and finished floor

.Options for retrofitting an existing concrete slab, or other conventional
flooring materials

.Sealing the floor to make it waterproof and durable 

 

Course participants will get hands on experience pouring an earthen floor in
our 400 square foot office.

 

Early Registration (By September 8, 2008): $250 (Includes all meals and
camping)

 

Registration (After September 8, 2008): $300 (Includes all meals and
camping)
