After the Credit Union Talk at LA EcoVillage we will be having a compost
work party and a potluck lunch, with tamales from Mama's Hot Tamales for
sale! The famous Tim Dunden AKA "Zeke the Shiek" will be bring over a truck
load of his golden compost for us to use in our gardens. After the mulch is
unloaded there will be a performance from Zeke the Shiek.

installations, and permaculture landscapes. The credit union is based in
Santa Fe, New Mexico, but operates in California and all other states in
the USA, and has 615 members and total assets of $2,546,000.
Permaculture (PERMAanent agriCULTURE, or CULTURE) is a design system for
creating sustainable human environments. The word was coined by Australian
biologist and author Bill Mollison in the late 1970's who sees "invisible
structures" like member owned credit unions as a central element in the
vision for a sustainable future that permaculture presents.
Don Sarich graduated from the University of Northwest with a Bachelor of
Science, with dual majors of Business Administration and Accounting along,
with minors in Finance and Economics. Sarich has been involved with the
credit union movement for eleven years. He was elected to the Board of
Directors of the Northwest Indiana Chapter of Credit Unions. He is an
Associate member of the Institute of Credit Union Executives, and was hired
as full time President/CEO for the Permaculture Credit Union in March, 2003.
