Jim Churchill is having a Farm Day at his orchard on Saturday, May 18,
from 2 to 6.
It's a benefit for the Environmental Defense Center. He will have farm
tours, discussions of sustainable agriculture, food, drink, music,
guacamole contest, etc. etc.

The address is 4101 Grand Ave., Ojai; the number for information is
962-1633 or 646-4212. Cost of admission, which benefits the Ventura
activities of the Environmental Defense Center, is $10. Sensible shoes
strongly recommended.

And if you scamper back into Ventura, you can attend "Soup for the
Soul", a fundraiser for Green Cure (developing and supporting organic
community gardening) at The Livery from 6-10:00 PM. $40/ ticket - soup,
bread, wine, desserts, live music and silent auction. For info call
