dear list contributors

i sense a drift in the focus of this list serve - it seems like half the 
posts lately are for events hundreds and more miles away...

ccpg, scpg, & sdpg were created for local/regional perma info.
sure, some bigger picture info is fun, but just as my area garden club 
doesn't announce NY gardening events, i'd like to see some more regional 
self-editing of this local list

there are lots of other perma group lists for international notices etc. 
which can be accessed as digests, on web pages, and separate lists...wes and 
margie do a great job of providing monthly events summaries that include 
farther flung events and i'm fine with that - its the individual and frequent 
postings of out of region events that i am concerned with...

i wonder how the 50 or so recipients on this list feel on this matter? 
i will assume that no responses to the contrary is a sign of agreement...
