the south coast permaculture guild <scpg> offers perma training, community 
events,  requests for information and assistance, and perma news on its 
listserve <scpg at arashi.com> and its semi-regular newsletter

those interested in training can usually find instructors there who can 
assist them  -

there are also more focused bioregional lists for san diego <sdpg> and 
central coast <ccpg>
