Slide Show Talk with Peter Newman on his new book on Auto Dependency,
Cities and Sustainability Monday, March 1, 7:30 pm 
in Eco-Village: 117 Bimini Place, Los Angeles

Dear Friends,

Peter Newman of the internationally prominent team of Kenworthy and
Newman, Australian researchers and authors on auto dependency and cities,
will be visiting Los Angeles Eco-Village next week:

     Monday evening, March 1 at 7:30 pm.  Please plan to attend.  He will
     have copies of his new book available with all the latest research on
     this topic.  

This will probably be the only opportunity to meet Peter and see this new
information presented here in L.A.  Last week, Peter made this presentation
to an overflowing standing room crowd at the White House sponsored by the
President's Commission on Sustainable Development and the Surface
Transportation Policy Project.

We hope you can join us.  Space is limited.  There is no charge for the event,
although we may ask for donations to further this type of educational work in
Los Angeles.

Directions to L.A. Eco-Village:

>From the intersection of First Street and Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles:

Go one block east on First Street.  Turn right on Bimini Place.  Go one
block.  117 Bimini is the first building on the right.  The event will be held
in
the lobby.

Parking may be difficult because night school students park on our streets in
the evening.  Feel free to park at Vons at the south end of Bimini or at the
large mall on Vermont between First and Second Street.  Better yet, walk, bike
