I have a wooden handled shovel that had been damaged and instead of replacing
the wooden handle, I cut off the damaged portion and created a short version
of the same tool,  not realizing at the time that this would become my best
friend in the garden, mostly because of it's portability.  It's nothing fancy,
but I"ve been happy with it.
