The CITY REPAIR Project Comes to Ojai!  March 20---TODAY AND TOMORROW

Come learn about successful strategies for transforming public spaces, building partnership  and empowering the local neighborhood with tools to create a community identity.

Presented by Mark Lakeman who started the City Repair Project in Portland Oregon, this project in Ojai will provide a dazzling spectrum of real world tools for building a participatory culture that transforms public spaces  with physical interventions (art work, benches, fruit trees, a place to meet your neighbors).  Mark will present powerful ideas for building resiliency in our neighborhoods, while also addressing the seemingly inevitable effects of gentrification. The focus of the workshop will be on strategies and timelines for doing projects in neighborhoods that move public spaces from car-centric to people centric.
