Come Join Us in Beautiful Tanzania For a Life Changing Trip!
Following the success of our previous PDCs in 2012, 2013 and 2014 foodwater shelter (fws) is pleased to offer you the chance to join us in Arusha for this wonderful learning opportunity led by teaching team Janet Maro of Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania, Nicholas Syano of PRI-Kenya and Nyumbani Village and USA based teacher Lindsay Allen of foodwatershelter and Quail Springs Permaculture.
It's two weeks of intensive learning, an incredible networking opportunity, and an internationally recognised qualification
You’ll gain direct permaculture design experience through Kesho Leo’s farms and other projects in the Arusha region, while sharing this experience with a diverse group of the international community; from farmers to NGO workers, teachers to lodge managers. Permaculture is a framework for working towards greater sustainability and self-reliance. It is these principles that underpin the Kesho Leo systems, and not only work to meet the needs of Kesho Leo’s residents, but also provide opportunities for community education and income generation.
Some of the topics that will be covered include:
Rain Water Harvesting, Composting, Food Security, Dry-land Farming Techniques, Integrated Livestock, Waste Recycling, Appropriate Technology, Organic Farming, Regenerative Design and Land Resource Management.
