NEW PDC Class open for SBCC’s Spring Semester! (sign up ASAP if interested)
SBCC Permaculture Design Course, Spring 2014
One afternoon a week (27 Jan - 19 May) + trip to Quail Springs
Mondays 1:30-5:30p, SBCC main campus, Room A-161
The Permaculture Design Course (PDC) offered at Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) is a part of the SBCC Environmental Horticulture program and has been taught for five years. One section of the course is already full, so we’ve added another section at the last minute (to be taught by one of the original instructors from 2009, Kendy Radasky).
Sign up right away if interested, to ensure that the second section will be full enough to run.
Permaculture Design is a (4) credit class, and is a requirements for 3 of the SBCC Landscape Design & Restoration certificate programs! So permaculture design strategies are making their way into these professions through this door. Very powerful. Two days (over a weekend in April) will be spent at Quail Springs Permaculture Farm (optional for all students, but required for anyone seeking a PD Certificate).
We are grateful this course has made the
PDC affordable to students who otherwise couldn't afford a PDC at this time in their lives, and know they will go on to take additional and more advanced Permaculture courses with other teachers in the future.
